L'itinéraire jour après jour

Jour 1

Each day, the outings are adapted to the weather and snow conditions and to the level of the group. The aim is to make sure you progress safely and get the best snow for maximum enjoyment.

Meet at 9:00am in the village of Montriond or at your hotel in Le Biot to meet your guide.

FIRST HIKE TO COL RATTI
After a transfer by minibus to the start of the tour, the day begins with a briefing on ski touring equipment and safety. At the foot of the famous Roc d'Enfer, there's a gradual climb up sunny slopes to the Col Ratti (1923m) and the first descent away from the slopes, with a spectacular panorama of the Mont Blanc massif. During the day, time will be set aside for a snow and avalanche research workshop. Return to the village of Le Biot for the evening and overnight at the hotel.
4 to 5 hour hike / Elevation : approx. +/-550m

Jour 2

COL DE COUX - LA BERTHE
Departure from the Vallée de la Manche for one of the great classics of the Chablais: the Col de Coux (1921m), a border crossing between France and Switzerland, then the often windy crest of the Berthe at 1992m. A beautiful mountain atmosphere on an accessible hike facing the Dents du Midi massif. It's also a great opportunity to spot chamois and ibex wintering on the nearby Vanet ridge. A beautiful, wild and risk-free descent, whatever the snow conditions.
5 to 6 hour hike / Elevation: +/-850m

End point around 4:00pm in Morzine/Montriond.

The programme has been drawn up on the basis of the latest information available at the time of writing; imponderables are always possible and situations beyond our control may alter its course.
